Director of Sport
Susanne heads up a strong team of staff at Active Netball.
She started playing netball aged 9 in the UK and came to coaching and umpiring much later when her daughter started playing. She set up a community club having gained her Level 2 Coaching Award and received recognition for excellence in management and duty of care to her membership from England Netball. She coached at UK county and Regional Levels before heading to Dubai to start up extensive playing and training opportunities within the UAE. Susanne loves netball and is excited to be working towards growing and developing the sport on a global level.
Lead Netball Coach
Emily started playing netball at the age of 10, joining a club after enjoying playing at school. As a teen, she was selected to play for Northamptonshire county, and then later Bedfordshire county. At university she became club and first team captain, playing a part in winning Premier South and gaining both silver and gold BUCS Championship medals. Emily holds a Sports Studies degree and is a level 2 netball coach, having coached a variety of school and club teams in the UK.
Active Netball Extraordinaire
Rosalin works closely with Susanne and the team and is enjoying her introduction to the sport of netball. She has worked for over 15 years in Dubai as an administrator in interior design and sports retail. She is delighted to learn a new sport (look out for her at Back to Netball) and is the smiley face at our leagues keeping everything in order. Rosalin enjoys trying new sports in her free time and is our person at the end of the phone dealing all things netball.
Assistant Netball Coach
Lauren began her netball career at the age of 5 playing both for her school and local club Ryland Netball Club, where she played in the 1st team and became captain in her final years. She was selected for the West Midlands regional training squads & from there Lauren was selected for the U19 & U21 Wasps Netball squads. After rupturing her ACL during a club game, Lauren underwent strict rehab to ensure she could come back to netball even stronger. Lauren moved to Cardiff University to complete her Physiotherapy Degree while there she played in the 1st team and became part of the Cardiff University Netball Club committee, Lauren worked hard to help in anyway she could, taking on umpiring and coaching roles.
Active Netball Officiating & Umpiring Expert
Dani works closely with Susanne, the team and all of the junior and senior Active Netball Umpires. Dani allocates umpires to all the Active Netball leagues. She also takes on the huge responsibility of providing umpiring courses and mentoring for Foundation, C and B award Umpires. Dani is a dedicated B award Umpire herself and works hard to continually develop her knowledge. Dani is also Europe Netball assessor, meaning she can assess and pass our brilliant Foundation and C award umpires.
